The Brushes' closure
1920 - 2000
Summer 2002 saw the old Brushes school closed down in preparation of demolition and then the opening of the new Longley Park 6th form College in 2004. An official 'open night' was held in commemoration of the event. Shown above is Brian Bates on the staircase of the old school. Note the beautiful stained-glass window on the 'dog leg'.
