	<< The New English Bible was a favourite of 'Spike' Johnson and was often given to pupils as a reward for some achievement. Mr Johnson bought these books from his own pocket! This is the actual book given to me from 1969 - treasured as fond memory of both the school and of Spike.	The school song went like this: " Ludus est nobis Bonus o sodales Quem decet semper Colere atque amare Hunc labos noster Studiumque nostrum Semper honestent " More >> Music for the school hymn >>
	Part of the City of Sheffield coat of arms was used in the design of the school badge >> It included the sheaf of arrows which was the main motif in the seals of the Burgery of Sheffield and the Twelve Capital Burgesses; the three wheatsheaves on a green field were probably chosen at the College of Arms to represent the name Sheffield which means "the open space by the River Sheaf"

	<< The physics text book by W. Littler that was used for the O-level syllabus in the 1960s sent in by John Wells. His signature appears on the label inside the back cover with the date as 1961. You will be asking yourself - "How come he has this book? Did he steal it?" Well, the story is that he lost it and was made to buy a replacement. Years later, it turned up at his Dad's. It smells old and fusty now he says, but he treasures it.	In 1975 a vinyl disc was printed by Firth Park School. Composed by John Jackson & Brian Hollocks, the disc, was entitled 'Barnardo' more>>
